Lots of pit bulls and chihuahua mixes there. Our vet didn't have a bordatella vaccine until about a year after we got him, so I don't know if that's a normally given vaccine? Do shelters usually vaccinate all the dogs when they get them in? I don't know how well they manage disease control. He had kennel cough that he got while he was there, and we found one tick on him (wasn't feeding, was just on him.) We took care of his kennel cough, but that's honestly a worry to have about getting a dog there. (We're getting him one this year at the vet, hopefully.) They gave us a discount at a vet to have him looked at, and offered a chip implant, but we declined. We don't have cats, so we were fine with taking him home. He had been returned because he was aggressive around the lady's cats. We came back later in the week and found our chill little man. We had to go twice though, because the first time I kind of had a breakdown and had to leave after seeing all the dogs.

Because cancer and death have touched everyone, I hope we dealt with it in a way that rings true to people, and that feels good for them to watch." "It was physically and emotionally exhausting. It ended up being challenging but also a special experience. "I lost an aunt I was very close to when I was 24, and knowing that this part of the storyline was coming, there was a part of me that was wondering what this was going to feel like to shoot. "It was a really powerful experience," Chalke told Forbes of her final scenes. The final emotional kicker, however, was when Johnny handed a grieving Tully a box containing a few special mementoes from Kate after her death, including her finished book… titled Firefly Lane. If that wasn't heartbreaking enough, we get a touching flashforward scene of Marah on her wedding day and of Tully envisaging a conversation with her dead best friend over how proud they are of her. When Tully learns of the news, she rushes back home to Kate's side and gives her old friend the support she needs before she passes away. I believed that Kate and Johnny loved each other from the beginning, so I was really glad that as much as they changed it, they really kept the heart of the novel and the message." As a viewer, I truly believed that these two women loved each other and that they would be there for each other forever. "I like the idea that it’s going to unfold for them and they’ll still be guessing – and they’ll get to have that fresh experience with it." "I think what’s cool is that: we changed just enough, so that readers who are watching the show – who haven’t seen it all – don’t know how it’s going to end because we’ve changed just enough," Friedman said (Via Tudum). Which isn't to say the show didn't feature changes to the source material. Note: MAJOR Firefly Lane book spoilers follow.īecause the series is based on Kristin Hannah's novel of the same name, Kate’s terminal cancer diagnosis panned out on screen exactly as it did on page. There’s no denying that more time in Tully and Kate’s world could never be a bad thing, but there's actually a good reason behind this decision. Part two definitely had a wholesome, wrapped-up kind of feel despite the bittersweetness of it all. While it hurts, it’s not all too shocking. We know, we know, take a minute to let the pain of that realisation sink in. There won’t be another season to obsess over. However if you’re already here, scouting for the vain hope of a season three, that means you’ve already made it through and, sorry keen beans, that’s it from the dance-partying duo. The good news is you can now catch up with the remaining seven episodes of Firefly Lane, which reveal what this diagnosis meant for Kate and whether she and Tully ever repaired their friendship. And by upset we mean red-hot furious.Īlas, part one left us on yet another (even more devastating) cliffhanger, concluding with Kate turning up at Tully's apartment after learning that she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer, only to discover that Tully had just left for a work trip in Antarctica. To be fair (and her intoxication aside), the crash wasn't actually Tully's fault, though Kate's upset is completely understandable. That same year, the O’Jays began working with producer H.B. Because O’Jay was an essential in the group’s managing and mentoring, The Triumphs decided to change their name to The O’Jays, as a tribute. The next year, The Mascots recorded their first single, “Miracles”, which was deemed a local success, and drew the attention of famed Cleveland disc jockey Eddie O’Jay. In 1960, The Triumphs signed with Syd Nathan, owner of King Records, and the group was renamed The Mascots. Levert and Williams brought together fellow students Bobby Massey, William Powell, and Billy Isles, to form their first group, The Triumphs. As teenagers, the two were inspired to form a singing group after seeing a performance by Frankie Lyman and the Teenagers. At a young age, Levert and childhood friend Walter Williams began performing as a gospel duo. When Levert was eight years old, he moved with his family to the town of Canton, Ohio, where he attended McKinley High School. Levert is still performing and touring with The O'Jays well as performing as a solo artist.Singer, and member of the famed O’Jays, Edward “Eddie” Levert, was born June 16, 1942, in Bessemer, Alabama. Throughout Eddie Levert's career, The O'Jays have released ten Gold Albums, with nine eventually going Platinum and ten No. On January 29, 2011, The O'Jays received the "Trumpet Lifetime Achievement Award". In 2009, The O'Jays were awarded BET's 'Lifetime Achievement Award' and Eddie Levert was awarded the "Heroes and Legends Pacesetter Award". Later in 2008, Eddie and his late son Gerald were presented with "Best Duo or Group" Image Award. In 2008, Eddie's son Sean died as a result of being denied needed prescription medication by government officials in Ohio. In 2007, Eddie and son Gerald's album recorded in 2006, "Something to Talk About" was released followed by the publication of the book "I Got Your Back" co-authored by Eddie and son Gerald. In 2006, upon returning from a South African tour with sons Gerald and Sean, Eddie's son Gerald died due to interactions between his prescribed medications. In 1992 Eddie and son Gerald recorded "Baby Hold On to Me" which was a No. They met Marc Gordon recording under the group name LeVert – four of their seven albums went platinum. In 1984, Levert's two sons Gerald and Sean, both still in high school, announced that they wanted to follow their father's musical background. Their EMI debut album, "Let Me Touch You", went to number three R&B and included "Lovin' You", which became a number-one R&B hit in the summer of 1987. The O'Jays later signed with EMI-Manhattan Records and Levert and Williams began co-writing and producing their own tracks. In 1969, The O'Jays signed with Philadelphia International Records where they began to release records under the new label. The Mascots' popularity grew as their music was broadcast on Cleveland radio stations. They traveled to Cincinnati to canvas King Records whose President Sid Nathan changed their name to The Mascots and signed them to his label. The Triumphs played locally in Canton opening for different acts, playing 'sock hops'. While at high school, he teamed up with classmates Walter Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey and Bill Isles to form a group called the Triumphs. As Levert continued singing into his teenage years, he became a recognized voice in the church choir, sang in school plays and performed regularly on a gospel radio show. He attended church regularly and eventually joined the church choir. Levert was born in Bessemer, Alabama, but was raised in Canton, Ohio, where he moved at the age of six. He is the father of Gerald Levert (1966–2006) and Sean Levert (1968–2008). Edward Willis Levert (born June 16, 1942) is an American singer, best known as the lead vocalist of The O'Jays. By charging the MWS module in short bursts, the player can enhance the damage and penetration of the laser whip even more while keeping the plane decently mobile. This ability is also helpful against some enemies possessing multiple hitboxes, such as the massive Bosses during their obliteration phase or the Nuclear Ballistic Missiles found on Stage B2, the latter of which appear to have up to four hitboxes aligned vertically. The new laser whip weapon is perfect for swiftly eliminating fleets of Prop Planes which fly in a vertical direction, dangerous defenses shielded by others and Bosses' armaments arranged in a line thanks to its penetrating power. On the PC and console version, the new Drones are acquired along with the previously collected Permanent Card 1 instead. On the mobile version of the game, the Support Drones would also now have a much faster fire rate and swing from top to bottom, discharging bullets in a curved pattern and help the plane deal with enemies on its side. The laser whip also has a piercing ability similar to the Laser power-up, allowing for a column of enemies to be damaged at once and is further enhanced using the Main Weapon Supercharge ability. The thin and focus laser allows for more precision and damage when dealing with enemies at far distance unlike other planes with shotgun-like shooting patterns. The Card also affect the Main Weapon of The Classic plane, replacing it with a laser whip weapon and making the tip of the plane glow red. MuaHaHa Gaming presents Sky Force Reloaded card hunting tips and tricks. i kept playing in stage 7 and it gives my a lot of parts (: 2. Two days later, several runs on Lv8 & 9 insane (died midway) but find no card, then three runs on Lv7 insane and got the last two cards:) From what I remember it took me around 80 hours playtime to get everything maxed out. Next day, I started the game and got two cards on Lv7 insane in very first four runs, then nothing again. But I still got one card the same level in three or four runs on average, then card seems never drop anymore. Since then, Sky Force Reloaded has expanded the playable arsenal, which features nine Planes that each bear different qualities and. Only one type of Plane could be played as in Sky Force Anniversary. They are the main form of combat transportation for players as they go out to take on enemies throughout a Stage. (always a card almost every single run! )Īfter that, drop rate seems been decreased somehow. Planes are part of the huge air force that is synonymous with the Sky Force games. Then suddenly I got about a dozen of cards on Lv6 insane, continuously. I tried every level on every difficulty but only received tiny effects. But I made some research and probably got the point, finally collected all cards. then my next aim is to collect the rest.Īt first, it feels terrible, I can't get cards anyway. After completing every level on normal & fully upgraded my plane, I got about 6 cards. Scoring an incredible 9.5 out of 10, Sky Force took the early mobile gaming scene by force. Modifying the HUDThe original Rise of the Triad files have two different HUD's. Including nice side textures ('doortracks') with corresponding key colors.ģ.3.5. If ( tilemap&0x80 )ĭoornum = tilemap&0x7f Scroll down and search for '// check for adjacent doors' and the following code: Then I've searched for HitVertWall and changed 'unsigned texture ' to 'unsigned texture, doornum '. I doubt if the original idea of Wolfenstein 3D Part II : Rise of the Triad also included the floor/ceiling textures, but I decided to implement them for better looks.īecause the floor/sky textures use up roughly double the number of cycles I added an option to switch off the floor/sky textures on-the-fly. Note: I wrote this when I started developing with the original Wolfenstein 3D source, whereas the final version has been rewritten (again) from scratch using Chris' Memboost.zip. To overcome this I will change the Wolfenstein 3D source code. Modifying Wolfenstein 3DThe engine of Rise of the Triad is superior compared to Wolfenstein 3D in a few aspects. I could not find the red officer model thus I decided to make it on my own. Thanks go out to RGamesINC, Majik Monkee, Justin, The Great Wasabi, Conner94 and my very own brother. Some of the models we're already done by other people. In order to create something as original as possible I will use the original textures and fill up gaps by using textures from the released version Rise of the Triad. The enemies don't have a running/shooting texture. Apogee supplied a lot of images but not everything. Extracting the original imagesThe original textures are 64px by 64px.
